In an era where healthcare often feels rushed and fragmented, I believe excellent primary care must be built on a foundation of time and trust. By spending meaningful, unrushed time with each patient, I create the space to truly listen, understand their health in context, and develop personalized treatment strategies. My role is not just to treat individual concerns, but to serve as your medical quarterback - coordinating care across specialists, interpreting complex information, and ensuring every decision aligns with your long-term health goals. This relationship-centered approach allows for deeper insight, better outcomes, and a level of care where patients feel known, supported, and confident throughout their healthcare journey.
This approach becomes even more essential in the care of geriatric patients, where health is often complex, nuanced, and deeply personal. Older adults frequently navigate multiple chronic conditions, medications, and specialists, making thoughtful coordination and continuity of care critical. By prioritizing time and trust, I can recognize subtle changes, align treatment plans with each patient’s goals and values, and avoid the pitfalls of fragmented or overly aggressive care. Serving as a steady quarterback in this stage of life means advocating for clarity, simplicity, and dignity - ensuring that medical decisions support not just longevity, but quality of life, independence, and peace of mind for both patients and their families.
Outside of medicine, I enjoy spending time with my family, including my three young boys, as well as traveling, gardening, hiking, and camping.
